Job Description Summary

Bring industrial and commercial building expertise to our clients. Engineering management’s primary responsibilities will be to ensure we achieve performance goals, develop strategies to improve our services, consistently delivers high quality work on time and within budget, and provide professional growth opportunities for engineers. Engineering management will work closely with program managers and directors to provide the best services possible to our clients. Leading the engineering team and working with engineering leaders to collaboratively share resources, develop tools, and strategies to overcome common challenges.

Job Description

5+ years’ experience
2+ years people management
Engineering Degree and/or P.Eng
Key Responsibilities
- Manage client relationships, both internally and externally
- Act as direct manager for a team of energy engineers and energy analysts, including:
   ▪ Oversee the performance of the engineering team and ensure the team achieves both team and company performance objectives
   ▪ Provide strategic guidance and prioritization of work to ensure work is effectively supporting the goals of the relevant programs.
   ▪ Provide opportunities for engineers to grow professionally
   ▪ Assure that engineering analysis is performed to the company’s standard of quality and certainty to achieve a high level of client satisfaction
   ▪ Lead critical conversations with staff
- Implement resource planning in conjunction with program managers
- Manage team projects and establish project scopes (deliverables, timeline, cost); understanding of contractual agreements
- Provide performance reports to senior management and consult on potential improvements to improve team and program performance
- Provide technical knowledge to explain complex energy issues to internal and external parties including customers and trade allies
- Develop strategies to achieve organizational goals; understand organization's strengths and weaknesses; analyze market and competition; identify external threats and opportunities; adapt strategy to changing conditions
- Synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and research data; use intuition and experience to complement data; design work flows and procedures
