Job Description Summary

As an Energy Engineer II at CLEAResult you will play a key role in implementing utility funded energy efficiency programs, identifying new efficiency opportunities, calculating energy savings for projects throughout our portfolios, and supporting other efforts to increase energy efficiency in the markets we serve. There will be opportunities for you to work on cross-team projects for our programs across North America. As CLEAResult continues to grow quickly, success in this position will lead to increased responsibility and opportunities for you.

Job Description

As an Energy Engineer II you will be responsible for the following:

  • Leading projects for commercial projects throughout the company to quantify savings for our utility programs
  • Leading development of companywide tools and calculators
  • Supporting development of our program savings and metrics in our corporate tracking systems
  • Supporting development of company-wide engineering best-practices
  • Preparing draft reports such as measurement and verification plans and billing analysis results
  • Analyzing new energy efficiency technologies for potential adoption as measures in our programs 
  • Contributing to the development of proposals and other business development opportunities
  • Ensuring current energy efficiency projects reflect federal and state energy codes
  • Completing ASHRAE level I audits unassisted and support ASHRAE level II audits
  • Leading preparation of reports such as measurement and verification plans and billing analysis results
  • Effectively communicating with evaluators, utilities, contractors, and utility customers

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferably mechanical or electrical discipline
  • 2+ years of experience with energy efficiency consulting or energy program implementation
  • Interest and ambition to work in the fast-paced energy efficiency industry
  • Experience developing and reviewing energy savings calculations
  • Proficient in MS Excel
  • Excellent technical and non-technical writing and communication abilities
  • Ability to analyze technical issues and convey conclusions to diverse technical and non-technical audiences 
  • Ability to QC work and find errors or misrepresented values and information
  • Enjoys working in a dynamic setting with technical and non-technical team members
  • Organized and detail-oriented with ability to think critically
  • Travel up to 25%
