Job Description Summary

In this role you will support the development and delivery of energy efficiency programs by providing engineering calculations, building energy simulations, measurement and verification, and utility program technical design and assistance. You will lead design and development of technical strategies, conduct analysis to inform and recommend energy saving measures, and develop plans and reports that contribute to the success of our client’s programs. You’ll also provide general project oversight to ensure quality control to better serve our clients and their end users to ensure successful project completion.

Job Description

6+ years’ experience

BS Engineering degree, Mechanical Engineering Preferred

2+ years of Retrocommissioning experience required

  • Calculate energy savings for projects in our programs using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics
  • Lead important and complex technical work in our programs, independently and with minimal technical supervision. Examples include:
    • Identify, lead, and qualify custom M&V projects in our programs
      • Including retrocommissioning opportunities
    • Oversee the development of calculators and engineering methodologies for multiple programs across the portfolio
    • Perform ASHRAE level II audits unassisted at large commercial and industrial facilities
    • Author IPMVP compliant plans and reports
  • Develop project scopes, with oversight from engineering management
  • Manage pipeline of projects with oversight from management providing continuous updates to program teams, clients, and customers on project statuses
  • Become an established and trusted technical advisor to our program teams, clients, vendors, and customer sites
  • Provide technical guidance and training to our program teams related to subject matter expertise (esp. custom/M&V projects)
  • Oversee technical feedback related to regulatory filings, utility commission documents, and program evaluations; provide formal recommendations to program staff
  • Works with clients and evaluators on project-specific issues
