Job Description Summary

As a Field Representative for CLEAResult, you will gain exposure to the inner workings of a successful, growing company in the booming energy efficiency industry. You will play a key role in supporting goal attainment for the Consumer Products Retail and Distributor Initiatives Programs. Our team seeks to increase consumer awareness of efficient products such as: lighting, water heaters, major appliances and HVAC. We know that purchasing decisions are strongly influenced by what the consumer sees on the shelf and what they hear from the sales associate. You will be a part of a team that will help initiate proven tactics intended to highlight the value proposition of buying efficient products.

Job Description

The primary role of the field representative is to establish a professional rapport and visit targeted (retail) sales channels throughout an assigned territory. During these visits the field representative will engage in product pricing audits.  The field rep will perform light merchandising and labeling intended to increase visibility of our promotions as well as highlight the value proposition of our targeted products.  Our team members also conduct in-store training events with both store personnel and consumers providing education and empowerment on the benefits being offered through our promotional efforts.

The field representative will spend about 70 percent of their time driving to and/or visiting established accounts. The field representative will build and maintain relationships with accounts and act as a professional liaison between our client, corporate office and partners.

  • Conduct field visits to assigned sales channels within the territory (about 80-100 locations)
  • Identify and set up new sales channel accounts
  • Train store owners/managers and sales associates on efficient products and the incentives we offer
  • Provide basic merchandising services to all accounts on a regular basis
  • Schedule and staff in-store promotions
  • Conduct consumer training sessions and/or promotional events (this may include weekends)
  • Conduct pricing audits and ad hoc data collections/verification. 
  • Provide services within the parameters of the terms and conditions set forth by company client
  • Make recommendations that can enhance our delivery of services

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required
  • Maintain a residence within client territory
  • Lift up to 40 pounds
  • Drive an automobile for long distances/time-frames
  • Attend all company training events, scheduled staff meetings and conference calls
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Excel and Outlook)
  • Be friendly, outgoing, organized, efficient, able to work well independently and as part of a team; this position requires a person who is self-motivated, reliable and flexible
  • Feel comfortable presenting information one-on-one and in front of small groups in a clear, concise and friendly manner (1-5 people is typical).
