Responsible for developing an increased awareness in and adoption of targeted energy efficient technologies, strategic market development, customer satisfaction, as well as delivering on client goals related to outreach activity and energy savings. Adhering to designated program budgets and allocated resources. Trade Allies include manufacturers, distributors, contractors, and retailers of residential and commercial energy and water efficiency products, such as HVAC, Water Heating, Lighting, and other electric and natural gas saving equipment.

CLEAResult, an Austin-based consulting firm that designs and implements energy-efficiency programs nationwide, is searching for a full-time Market Outreach Consultant in the San Antonio, TX office to support our utility client’s Commercial Solutions Programs.  In this role you will use your demonstrated strong communication and outreach skills to drive program relations and participation with all program stakeholders - utility client, customers, trade allies/associations, and internal CLEAResult program and marketing teams.


Market Outreach Consultant should have a general understanding of energy efficiency options for commercial customers and ability to explain technical data in an easy-to-understand way that speaks to that specifics stakeholder’s interests – in other words, to understand and communicate a powerful value statement to drive program participation. 

As representatives of the client utility and of CLEAResult, you should always exhibit exemplary customer service and outreach skills while building and maintaining excellent professional relationships with all program stakeholders internal and external.   Your comfort with public speaking in a variety of venues is a key asset.  Some travel may be required.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and support all program outreach efforts to drive increased program participation and bring efficiencies to outreach process
  • Develop and implement strategies for direct outreach to targeted market sectors.
  • Act as a point of contact between program stakeholders –  including utility key accounts team and corporate communications, internal program contacts, external trade allies, service providers, and more
  • Engage, build relationships, and coordinate with Key Accounts team at utility client to demonstrate and add value to their customers through program participation and PR opportunities
  • Coordinate customer satisfaction engagement to improve program services
  • Meet regularly with CLEAResult program consultants and marketing team to track marketing needs and deliverables (including but not limited to fliers, website updates, check presentations, maintaining contractor lists, case studies)
  • Program outreach through local trade organization event attendance and presentations, event coordinating and contractor outreach to include public speaking on behalf of the program
  • Follow-up quickly and efficiently with outreach efforts (follow up emails/calls following trade shows, appreciation events, etc.)
  • Recruit program participants, which includes both end-use customers and the companies that provide energy efficiency services to them, by effectively communicating the value proposition of the program (and utility)
  • Build a base of trade allies qualified to participate in specified programs
  • Communicate effectively with participating customers and contractors, as well as work well within the team (internal customers)

JOB REQUIREMENTS                                                                                                                    

  • Bachelor’s Degree or a combination of training, education, and work experience in a related field required
  • 5 yrs. experience in marketing and/or sales and/or customer service experience preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate a value proposition
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Highly organized with attention to detail
  • Excellent relationship building and development abilities
  • Strong customer service experience and focus
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environment with competing priorities
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in the following Microsoft Office applications:
    • Excel
    • Word
    • PowerPoint
    • Outlook
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Relevant energy efficiency work experience
    • Project management skills
    • Bilingual preferred
