Job Description Summary

Program and Operations support staff ensure smooth delivery of projects and programs, both internally and externally; while adhering to program, practice and operations guidelines. Program and Operations support staff roles often encompass multiple areas including; data management, metrics and reporting, team facilitation and coordination, and process definition and improvement. Breadth of scope ranges from supporting individual programs, project or processes at the lower levels, to supporting entire functions (practices, business development, etc.) or the company at the higher levels. These roles tend to be more internal-facing than client-facing, although people in operations roles will often have direct client, customer or trade ally communication and contact.

Bachelor’s degree preferred


Key Responsibilities:

- 65%: Scheduling and tracking projects for Technicians, Auditors, Account Managers and Program/Operations staff. Tracking and verifying program paperwork, files and correspondence. Payment processing. Data entry, gathering and tracking data, and assuring data quality. 
- 5%: Exporting predesigned reports
- 20%: Staff meetings and other program support
- 10%: Special projects

Additional Job Description

A full-time Program Coordinator with excellent communication and organizational skills is being sought to work as part of the Dunbar, WV-based team and in support of the Appalachian Power C&I Program. The Program Coordinator will provide administrative support within the office and programmatic support to the team, trade allies and applicants on application processing, reporting requirements and issue resolution as required. . .

Working under the direction of the Program Manager, the successful candidate will:

  • Accurately review data associated with Appalachian Power C&I Program application rebate requests
  • Provide data input and project tracking activities associated with submitted and ongoing application development in our program portals.
  • Communicate with applicants and contractors on as-needed basis to resolve various rebate processing-related .
  • Provide programmatic information and support to the general public and program contractors regarding current program guidelines, incentives and requirements.
  • Maintain and support theTrade Ally networks through direct contact with Allies to insure documentation and  processes/procedures are met.
  • Develop and produce analysis and data reports as required.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Desired:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required
  • Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
  • Ability to utilize database and tracking systems
  • Education and/or work experience in business and/or finance, including AP, AR and reporting
  • Experience preparing reports, statements and/or projections
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong customer service skills, including ability to listen and understand concerns about program operations and to suggest solutions
  • Ability to work both independently and within a team, and to take initiative without losing focus on highest priorities
