Job Description Summary

Acts as a trusted liaison between the utility end use customer and energy efficiency program operations team. Establishes and builds relationships in local markets with program participants. Manages and promptly addresses customer concerns and questions. Records and tracks customer interactions in Salesforce in accordance with corporation's procedures. Verifies product installations and ensures all paperwork received is accurate and complete. Encourages the implementation of cost effective energy efficiency projects identified through engineering audits. Candidate must possess comprehensive knowledge of various commercial and industrial systems and develop strategies to drive implementation of energy efficiency projects. Works with engineering and operations to research and analyze current and future technical specifications and requirements. Prepares internal and external presentations. Troubleshoots technical issues, determines solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends solutions.

Job Description

5+ Years

Bachelor’s degree preferred.

CEM preferred

Knowledge and understanding of ASHRAE Level I or II audits

Relevant industry certifications could replace work experience


Key Responsibilities

25% Maintain current accounts and develop new accounts for large kWh and/or revenue goals for more than one program, including cross-practice account relationships.

20% Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers. Design and deliver proposals.

10% Document customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements. Provide input and status updates to program staff

10% Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications

35% Travel throughout northern Illinois
