Job Description Summary

The Senior Account Manager acts as representative to customer's organization. Establishes and builds relationships in local, regional and national markets. Manages and promptly resolves customer concerns. Records, tracks customer interactions in accordance with corporation's procedures. Verifies product installations and that all paperwork received is accurate and complete. Sells technical products/services, trains on technical specifications and program requirements, and communicates program changes. Develops strategies to drive increased savings acquisition. Works with engineering and program to research and analyze current and future technical specifications and requirements. Prepares sales forecasts. Troubleshoots technical issues, determines solution in accordance with product and customer specifications, and recommends solutions.

Job Description

  •  7+ Years
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications could replace work experience
  • Prospecting to find new MF customers to participate in the Mass Save MF program.
  • Maintain current accounts and develop new accounts for large kWh and/or revenue goals for the multifamily market sector.  Establish long term relationships with property management firms and property owners.
  • Act as local, on-site program and company representative to customers and contractors; to encourage participation in the program and overcome barriers.
  • Design and deliver proposals/contracts and close on sale of project.
  • Document customer and contractor interactions to adhere to program requirements.
  • Provide input and status updates to program staff
  • Troubleshoot technical problems and issues, provide technical advice, guidance and training on installation, adaptation, configuration or enhancement in accordance with client specifications
  • Travel throughout a defined territory with a large geographic impact for high-tier clients.
  • Applies strong energy efficiency, sales, strategy and technical principles, theories and concepts.
  • Strong understanding of requirements and policies for the multifamily market segment.
  • Full knowledge of market-sector related technologies and business drivers. Strong understanding of property management and multi family market sector.
  • Extensive network of industry contacts and connections across more than one market sector.
  • Develops strategic business and technical solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and creativity. Strategies may straddle multiple products and/or programs.
  • Completion of major account strategies with capture plans and may function in a project leadership role. Erroneous decisions or recommendations would typically result in failure to achieve major organizational objectives.
  • Responsible for development and support of business development opportunities.
  • Responsible for high risk, complex, and program-critical accounts.
  • Professional technical outside sales skills required. Trains and/or mentors other account managers and support staff
  • Represents organization as prime contact on contracts and projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on significant strategic business and technical matters often requiring coordination between internal teams and external organizations.
