Job Description Summary

The Vice President, New England Portfolio will be responsible for value creation, business operations and people development for a client portfolio which is made up of a set of utility and direct-to-customer client accounts and engagements.
Responsibilities include strategy and execution within the client portfolio taking into account both market and competitive environments, program delivery performance assessment, financial analysis and the capture, development, and articulation of program management and delivery best practices. The successful candidate will be skilled in both the creation and execution of strategy in a matrixed environment, relying heavily on their organizational and strategic agility.
Success metrics will include rapidly growing revenue and margin, exceeding customer expectations and controlling costs. This high-profile leadership role is at the center of diversification and expansion for CLEAResult and a major contributor to the company’s core service delivery and strategy.

Job Description

  • Value Creator:
    • Achieving established business growth targets across and for the client portfolio
    • Building sales pipeline in support of delivering established growth targets
    • Building client buyer and influencer mid-level and c-suite relationships in support of delivering established growth targets
    • Educating clients on the full set of CLEAResult services and offerings
    • Engaging Service Line/Offering and Business Development leaders in business development activities
    • Collaborating with Service Line/Offering and Business Development in furthering those capabilities
    • Learning key policy information relevant to clients and CLEAResult
    • Contributing to CLEAResult thought leadership

  • Business Operator:
    • Leading client executive meetings, ensuring client engagements are executed within original deal economics (revenue and margin)
    • Accurately forecasting monthly, quarterly, and annual sales, revenue and margin
    • Building client engagement delivery teams against target pyramid and utilization metrics
    • Managing delivery team member supply and demand across client engagements
    • Achieving target client satisfaction scores
    • Ensuring client teams create and maintain client account plans
    • Ensuring client teams deliver operational metrics including:
      • Delivery KPIs
      • Internal Compliance and Controls
    • Sponsoring the implementation of corporate initiatives
    • Collaborating with support functions to deliver contractual obligations
    • Collaborating with other Client Portfolio Leads to help achieve CLEAResult objectives


  • People Developer:
    • Ensuring proper execution of performance management practices
    • Developing the careers of client portfolio resources
    • Retaining high performing talent
    • Achieving targeted employee engagement scores
    • Modeling best management practices including regular 1x1s, team meetings, reward and recognition of performance  
    • Upholding CLEAResult behavioral Ideals and Leadership Competencies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree and a seasoned Energy Efficiency Executive (15 years’ experience) managing and leading energy efficiency programs
  • Advanced degree in business management, environmental policy, or energy management is preferred
  • 15 years of leading innovative programs with new clients/regulatory circles to bring products and services to market across a cross-functional team while meeting aggressive growth targets
  • Experience in designing go-to-market strategies, launching, monitoring and evolving strategies to successfully deliver program results
  • Expertise in energy efficiency, with a track record of outstanding business development
  • Demonstrated ability to initiate, build and maintain C-Suite client relationships
  • Experience managing P&L and/or departmental budgets is required
  • Successful management of cross-functional and matrix-managed teams is essential
  • Adept at identifying and developing talent as well as responding to people challenges with managerial courage and respect
  • Curiosity, strategic thinking and problem-solving skills combined with tactical implementation capabilities
  • Expert negotiating skills
  • Represent CLEAResult with the highest level of integrity
